A POPULAR Bournemouth primary school will benefit from a million pound building project to enable it to take in more pupils.
Muscliff Primary School increased its intake of reception pupils from 60 to 90 last September and will do so again this year and next year.
The £1m extension will enable them to make this increase permanent, helping the council as it struggles to find sufficient primary school places.
The project will see the school extend upwards by building on the first floor, providing a further four classrooms and more toilets.
Parents and school governors have backed the plans.
Cllr Ron Whittaker, pictured, who is also a governor at Muscliff School, said: “We’re looking forward to getting it completed so we can get more of our local children in our local school.”
