AND you thought £126,000 was a high price to pay for a beach hut! Now another one has come onto the market for £146,000.
Just a week after the last hut, number 219, sold for the full asking price, number 246 nestled between other huts along the highly sought after Mudeford spot, is now up for grabs.
The reason for the higher price tag is that this bright primrose yellow beach hut has a mezzanine sleeping area and can sleep up to six people.
According to the agent Andrew Denison of Denisons estate agency in Christchurch, the beach hut should sell quickly as he already has a list of potential buyers who missed out last time.
“The last beach hut sold within a few days for the full asking price. There is a real demand for these properties as they don’t come onto the market very often. They tend to get passed onto family or friends,” he said.
“I’ve already got a waiting list of people to call who wanted me to let them know when another one came on the market.”
According to Denisons, the beach hut which measures 15ft by 10ft, was used for many years as a family holiday home.
It has been well looked after and has been modernised internally and had a recent exterior overhaul. It also boasts a solar panel, a new gas fridge, gas oven/grill and new decking area.
