SOME 200 people staying at a Bournemouth night shelter will get a hot meal, thanks to a local company.
Poole-based TwoToo was set up five years ago to help homeless people keep warm through the donation of a cosy fleecy scarf each time a scarf was purchased.
Following the donation of 50 scarves in December to residents of St Paul’s shelter, the organisation has made a cash donation to BCHA, which runs the shelter, to fund 200 hot meals.
Founder Steve Bamford said: “Because we have hit our targets for scarf donations in some of our projects, we’ve decided to use the extra money raised by sales to help fund other vital services.
“Scarves are more akin to the winter months, so it’s great that we can continue to help vulnerable people all year round.”
TwoToo recently expanded its range of products and every item bought will make difference to a local homeless person.
