A NIGHTCLUB goer suffered facial injuries after an “incensed” Thai woman attacked him with her shoe in Bournemouth town centre.
Bournemouth Crown Court heard how violence had flared in Fir Vale Road in the early hours of August 26 last year.
Prosecutor Jennie Rickman said David Walsh had been set upon by married mother-of-one Jentimar Zaid following an argument in a nearby nightclub.
The married mother-of-one admitted assault, occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mrs Rickman added: “Mr Walsh was asked to leave the club.
“When he went outside the defendant approached him again and he was verbally aggressive.
“She took off her shoes and he was then struck, a shoe connecting with Mr Walsh’s face.
“He felt immediate pain and put his hands up. He could feel bleeding and a tooth fell out into his hand.”
The court heard how a member of the club’s security staff had earlier spotted Mr Walsh laughing at Zaid and her companion.
Mr Walsh suffered a fractured tooth and needed stitches to a wound inside his lip as well as specialist dental treatment.
In Zaid’s defence, the court was told that she was a woman of previous good character who was sorry for the injuries she had caused.
She had lashed out after having a drink poured over her and been upset by the attention her transgender Thai friend had been receiving in the club.
Judge Peter Johnson told her: “Ordinarily any attack involving a weapon would cross the custodial threshold.
“You were incensed; no doubt not helped by Mr Walsh pouring a drink over you. You took the law into your own hands.”
Zaid from Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £250 costs.
