POLICE are hunting a thief who snatched a purse from a disabled woman as she waited at a bus stop in Bournemouth.
The thief, who was riding a bike, struck at Alma Road, Winton between 5.15 pm and 5.26 pm on Saturday, March 24, fleeing with a Louis Vuitton purse containing the 59-year-old victim’s money, bus pass and vital prescriptions.
PC Lee Harrison described he theft as “callous,” adding: “The victim has been greatly affected by this crime.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone who can assist in identifying the person responsible.”
The cyclist is white, in his 20s, around 5ft 7in to 5ft 10in tall with short light brown hair.
He was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and dark coloured trousers.
