NEIGHBOURS have an issue with the ongoing occupation of Boscombe Centre for Community Arts (BCCA) – bongos.
The Haviland Road building has been taken over by protesters opposing the sites redevelopment as affordable housing.
They are members of the Occupy movement, which opposes the current distribution of wealth and power.
One resident told the Echo: “We are subjected to a night-time cacophony of discordant drumming sessions.”
Another resident said: “They did it a couple of times and it was noisy but never after 10pm and there have been no problems of late until a couple of nights ago.
“I have spoken to a few of them and they are quite pleasant, no trouble at all. You wouldn’t know they were there most of the time but the drums are very loud.”
And a third said: “I did hear some bongos a while ago but it’s very peaceful now.”
Bournemouth Council is seeking an eviction order and the next hearing will be at the County Court on April 10.
