A MAN suffered minor head injuries after being robbed in a Bournemouth underpass in what police have described as “a cowardly attack”.
The 34-year-old was approached from behind in the St Paul’s roundabout underpass at around 7.30pm on Sunday and knocked to the ground.
Two robbers stole his wallet, which contained cash, and his distinctive peach coloured long-sleeved woollen jacket, which had ‘Liverpool’ printed in white letters on the front and back.
DC James Batty, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a cowardly attack.”
He added it was not known whether or not both the offenders were male or female.
One was described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing a black baseball cap, red and grey checked jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
He appealed for witnesses, including two Asian women seen in the area at the time, to call 101, quoting incident number 25:490, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
