A FIREFIGHTER is cycling from London to Paris after seeing how good the care is at a specialist rehabilitation centre.
Sarah Bascombe from the Redhill Station in Bournemouth will ride 300 miles for the Firefighters Charity.
The 27-year-old was inspired after pulling a tendon in her foot while dealing with a small fire.
She received physiotherapy at Harcombe House, which is operated by the charity, and decided to give something back.
“The care was fantastic and it completely relies on donations,” said Sarah.
She will make the journey from August 1 to 5 using a road bike donated by Bournemouth Halfords. You can donate by visiting www.justgiving/ sarah bascombe.
