DO you recognise this man? Detectives hunting an early morning sex attacker who struck in Bournemouth’s Lower Pleasure Gardens earlier this month have released an e-fit in a bid to track him down.
He pounced at around 1.45 am on Sunday, March 11, near the aviary and bandstand, grabbing a 30-year-old woman before molesting her.
The victim from Amesbury, Wiltshire, who had just left a Bournemouth pub during a night out with friends, was attacked after becoming separated from her companions.
Despite being terrified and suffering minor injuries, she put up a brave fight and the man ran off.
DC Shanena Stewart from Bournemouth CID said the victim had been “very upset” and “distressed” by her ordeal.
It is believed that her attacker had been loitering around Westover Road before the assault.
DC Stewart added: “Following further enquiries, I am now able to release an e-fit of the man responsible. I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault or who was in the area at the time.
“I also urge anyone with any information about the person responsible to contact police as soon as possible.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should phone 101 in confidence, quoting incident number 11:54 or alternatively call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile tariffs may apply.
