A SHAMED mother has been jailed for two and a half years after being found guilty of having sex with two schoolboys.

Davina Travi, 42, from Rochester Road, Kinson, had denied abusing the 13- and 14-year-old boys, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, but was convicted at Bournemouth Crown Court.

The court heard how the mother-of-five had slept with her young victims as a “reward” after they had smashed up her love rival’s car.

Jurors were told how Travi regularly held parties for children at her former home in Vicarage Road, Winton, and bought them alcohol and cigarettes, occasionally allowing them to smoke cannabis.

Defending, Robert Grey said Travi was a woman of previous good character who has three disabled children and elderly parents.

He added: “The effects of her losing her liberty are likely to be profound.”

Mr Grey stressed that both victims had consented to sexual activity.

Sentencing Travi, Judge Samuel Wiggs told her: “It is very sad to have to deal with you; I’m very sorry for the effect it will have on others.

“The fact is that you committed serious offences in relation to two young boys.

“It seems that your household was a place where young people could come and engage in unsuitable acts which eventually turned into these sexual offences against two young boys.

“It had a considerable effect on one of them.”

He imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order banning Travi indefinitely from any unsupervised contact with boys under 16, except her own children. She will be a registered sex offender for life.

In a statement, Maria Sciberras, Wessex Senior Crown Prosecutor, said: “There is no doubt that she used the age and immaturity of these youths for her own advantage.

“It is a criminal offence for any adult to have a sexual relationship with youths under the age of 16.

“We hope that this prosecution will enable other teenagers or parents to recognise a similar situation and come forward to the police.”
