A DORSET-based disability charity is giving two accountancy firms the chance to run on London’s Olympic Park track this weekend.
Diverse Abilities Plus are able to send teams from Ward Goodman and Princecroft Willis, who will run 100m on the Olympic track on Sunday April 1.
It all forms part of the Gold Challenge’s 2012 challenge, which is one of the official London 2012 legacy projects that aims to raise money for charity. The unique prize has been awarded in recognition of the two companies’ fundraising efforts.
Ward Goodman’s team came out top by raising £1,301, whilst Princecroft Willis came second with £405 of fundraising.
Both teams have pledged to keep raising cash until they reach £2,012.
Ashley Weedon, Community Officer at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “Big congratulations are in order for both teams.
“It is amazing the effort being made by all teams involved in the challenge and also the amount of money raised to date.
“We are looking forward to seeing the winning teams in the stadium on April 1.”
