DORSET and Somerset Air Ambulance has welcomed a new chairman and vice-chairman on board.
Simon Michell takes over the reins from Terri Gill and Roger Morgan replaces Colin Harrison.
Mr Michell said: “The people of Dorset and Somerset are enthusiastic supporters of their air ambulance.
“It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to help enhance the charity’s future.”
The air ambulance has attended more than 8,570 emergencies since its launch in March 2000, saving many lives and aiding recovery with the speed at which casualties have been taken to hospital.
It receives no direct Government or National Lottery funding, instead relying on the generosity of the public.
