AN area that has been ‘spoilt’ with police is feeling the difference now they have left.
The Friends of Roumelia Lane in Boscombe debated the change during their March meeting.
Police had increased their presence as the area was regenerated.
But chairman Helene Bowman-Brown said there had been a recent increase in ‘thieves and drinkers’.
She added: “In the past we have probably been spoilt. But less police means more shenanigans.”
Cllr Phil Stanley-Watts said: “There’s a real need for police community officers in the area in person.”
PC Ash White said the team may be able to give an explanation of their priorities at a future meeting.
