A MAN has been charged with three firearms offences after a gun was discharged in Poole.
The 51-year-old was arrested on Friday.
The gun was fired inside a property in a residential part of Rossmore Road, Parkstone, Poole, at around 11.15am.
Police said on Saturday night that the man has been charged with possessing a shotgun when prohibited from doing so for five years; possessing a shotgun that had the barrel and stock sawn off; and possessing a sawn-off shotgun with intent to endanger life.
All charges were mader under the 1968 Firearms Act.
The man is in custody and is due to appear before Bournemouth Magistrates Court at 10am on Monday.
Officers cordoned off a bungalow after the incident, along with a van which was parked outside, while forensics teams examined the scene.
There were three marked police cars and several crime scene units outside the home.
Neighbours said the house had been empty while it was being refurbished for a new tenant after the previous occupant died.
