THE redevelopment plans for the closed Argos store in Boscombe are due to be submitted soon, a meeting heard.
The shop closed on January and there have been proposals to put four one-bed flats and 34 two-bed flats.
There would also be a retail unit on the ground floor. The unit is owned by Clark and Brassington.
Boscombe West Councillor Chris Wakefield said: “They will be looking to submit these plans in the very near future, I believe.
“There are two major retailers that have been seriously looking into the retail space.”
Cllr Wakefield was speaking at the March meeting of The Friends of Roumelia Lane.
Roger Clark, from Clark and Brassington, has previously told the Echo: “We are speaking to several new tenants who will be just as good, if not better than Argos.”
