CHILDREN have lent a hand to clean up a Bournemouth subway blighted by graffiti.
Along with Dorset Police and help from businesses including McCarthy & Stone, Asda and Abbey Life, Lansdowne PCSO Emily Presland started the project to address concerns from the local community that the subway was too intimidating to walk through.
As well as the artwork donated from Tiny Tots Nursery, Bournemouth Day Nursery and The Sparrows Nest Childcare, the lighting in the subway was also improved.
Central ward councillor David Smith and housing landlord services supervisor Carl Fella from Bournemouth Borough Council were also involved in the clean-up.
Emily said: “This subway regeneration was an important improvement to the area and I have already had some great comments from members of the public who use it regularly.
“The Lansdowne team would like to thank everyone involved for their time, effort and donations needed to make this subway project possible.”
