BOURNEMOUTH’S Academy of Contemporary Music is offering young people the chance to audition in front of a talent scout from BBC’s The Voice.
Auditions for the academy’s full-time diploma in music performance will take place in front of a panel of judges including Mark De-Lisser, a professional vocal coach responsible for discovering and tutoring acts for the hit BBC show.
Auditionees aged 15-18 will compete for 40 places on the course and can demonstrate singing, drumming, guitar or bass playing.
The Academy of Contemporary Music has been operating in Guildford since 1996 and is launching its first regional centre this year in Bournemouth.
Auditions will be on Saturday, April 22, from 9am at the academy at 1448 Wimborne Road, but application forms need to be completed online by Monday April 16.
Applicants aged 15 must be due to turn 16 by September 1. The programme is government-subsidised for those who have not previously studied at this or a higher level.
