PUPILS at Hillside Community First School in Verwood got the chance to see the sights in London during a trip to the capital.
The school took 16 children to attend this year’s Commonwealth Day Obser-vance Service in Westmin- ster Abbey and got the chance to enter the Comm-onwealth Essay Writing competition.
After seeing the morning service, which was attended by the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Count-ess of Wessex, the children visited the London Eye, Big Ben, Downing Street, Horse Guards’ Parade and Buckingham Palace.
