• JON Fell, of Ad Adastral Square’s PramaCare charity shop, said: “The rents here are extortionate. The square has lost confidence since the supermarket went.”
• RESIDENT Sylvia Stannard said: “I would like to know why the landlords would prefer to have a shop shut than take a smaller rent.
“I have to go shopping on the bus.”
• ROB Gaines, of Oakdale, said: “We don’t live here, but the supermarket has brought us here many times in the past. We’d shop there and go to the charity shop next door.”
• SYLVIA Gaines said: “We’d definitely use the supermarket again if it was to open. I think people living here must really miss that store.
It is still boarded up.’”
