A TEAM from the JP Morgan Good Works Volunteering programme donned their gardening gear to help with a good cause.
They helped with clearance, maintenance and planting at The Grove, a holiday hotel run by Macmillan Caring Locally for people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
The gardening project was organised by Maria Standen and Lee Morgan, who are both part of the volunteering programme.
Lee said: “The weather was very kind to us and we were able to make a real difference to the grounds.
“ It was hard work but very satisfying to see the end result.”
Brenden Howard, manager of The Grove, said: “Our gardener does a great job in making sure our gardens and lawns are well kept but this was a major project and we are very grateful for the help that was given.
“Our guests like to spend time in the gardens when the weather is nice and they will really appreciate the extra colour the planting has achieved.”
