Blandford will again be packed with visitors for the town’s 20th Georgian Fayre from 10am on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7.
Around 20,000 to 25,000 people will enjoy everything from farm animals and birds of prey to traditional stalls, children’s entertainers and music.
New attractions include the Ring of Eight Historical Dancers and Yeo Historical Dancers, who perform in the Regency and Georgian styles.
Other highlights include falconry, rural crafts, dog displays, food stalls, ferret racing, and more.
The event has raised nearly £1million for community initiatives.
Entry is by a suggested £2 donation and this year’s nominated charity, is Blandford Opportunity Group, a pre-school for children with special needs.
Janice Driscoll, head of the organising committee, said: ‘‘Not only is this unique event probably the largest in the south of England, but it also offers people the chance to return to the days of old, when community links were at their strongest.”
Blandford brewery Hall and Woodhouse has continued as sponsor.
