VOLUNTEERS from a Dorset cat charity turned to detective skills after seven cats were handed in microchipped but untraceable.
Cats Protection’s Bournemouth & District Branch could not find the owners, because their contact details had not been updated on the microchip company’s database.
Whilst two of them, Ezzie and Trixie, have been returned to their homes, thanks to detective work, five more are still homeless, including Patch, a black and white cat.
Rob Hughes, branch co-ordinator, said: “It is so important that owners make sure that they keep their details up to date.”
