Retirement developer Mc-Carthy & Stone is gearing up to embark on a 1,300 mile relay challenge, which will see 200 employees walk, run, cycle, horse ride and even kayak their way from Newquay in Cornwall to Forres in Scotland, to raise vital funds for children’s charity Barnardo’s.
The relay will pass through Dorset, stopping at McCarthy & Stone’s development Cherrett Court in Ferndown, on Wednesday April 25 and its Sanderling Court development in Bournemouth on Thursday, April 26.
The initiative will kick off at McCarthy & Stone’s Marina Court development in Newquay on April 23 and the relay team will travel the length and breadth of the country, carrying Barnardo’s Bear and the baton, before finishing at Moravia Court in Forres on May 25.
Anyone wanting to show their support is invited to visit McCarthy & Stone’s sponsorship page (uk.virginmoneygiving. com/team/McStone), Facebook or to follow #MSRelay on Twitter. All money raised will go towards helping Barnardo’s provide much needed support for more than 100,000 children.
