A HIGH voltage electricity pole was left hanging over an injured man’s car after being snapped off in a two-car crash.
A Dorset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the pole was left hanging by its cables after the crash in Three Legged Cross.
The injured man, from Wimborne, was given oxygen and a neck collar by fire fighters from Verwood at the scene on Ringwood Road before paramedics arrived.
And the electricity board was called to make the pole and wires safe.
The fire service spokesman said they were called when the pole was seen “arcing” after being hit in the crash just before 7pm on Sunday outside the Three Legged Cross pub.
The man’s silver Ford Focus was taken away as well as a silver Mercedes involved in the crash, owned by a Lyndhurst woman.
