Day 2: Switzerland
Arrived in Genève around lunch time which was later than preferred. Arrived at a beautiful place called Lausanne located right on the edge of the Lake.
The scene was picturesque and if it wasn’t for the strong winds, it would have been a perfect environment for the run. Had a chance to warm up quickly before I began the 2nd leg of the challenge.
Started off with the standard leg stiffness which was to be expected but as the run went on, the injury became more apparent and again, started to take the experience to an unpleasant level.
The marathon seemed to last forever and thank God, I finally finished with a time which would be most unacceptable to someone who has just started running.
Job done though and back to the camper van to have some needles strategically placed in the lower leg to ease the injury, taking aim carefully as we started to head off to Italy, and reapply the strapping.
