KEELEY Wilding has a daughter in Year 3 and a son in reception. She said: “The environment allows each child to grow. Both enjoy school and settled well. Teachers and the head teacher are very approachable. It’s a happy family environment.”
GILL Clark has a son in Year 2 and is a member of Hillside PTFA. She said: “It’s a fabulous school. When my son started he was quite shy and anxious and we have seen him grow. It is a very nurturing school. Academically the standard is very good.”
GARY Alford teaches Year 2 and has been at the school for five years. “The children are amazing and there is a really nice community feel here. All the parents get involved and there is a good relationship between teachers and the TAs.”
YVONNE Kemp, a higher level teaching assistant who has been working at the school for 20 years, said: “I wouldn’t have wanted my children to go anywhere else. You know your children will be well educated, well looked after and cared for.”
KIERAN Pegoraro, aged 7, is in Hillside’s Year 2 and particularly loves maths. He told School Report: “It’s a really good school for an education. I learn a lot from all of the teachers and I really get on with everyone.”
MADELINE Lungley, aged 8, is in Year 3. She said: “I like all the play times and I especially like ICT and history. In history I learned about Egyptians and we went to Kingston Lacy. I really like my teacher as he is fun and we do lots of fun things.”
