A 74-YEAR-OLD former RAF pilot fulfilled a lifelong ambition with his grandson when they leapt out of a plane to raise cash for charity.

Terry Adcock, from Colehill, and 19-year-old Mo Guy, from Corfe Mullen, did a 13,000ft skydive at Netheravon Airfield in Wiltshire in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

Terry’s wife Trish, 76, has suffered from the disease since 2000 and is now severely disabled.

Terry and Mo are set to raise more than £2,000 for the charity – double what they initially hoped for.

Terry, who was an RAF pilot for 30 years but had never parachuted before, jumped in his old flying suit.

During his career he commanded two Lightning Air Defence Squadrons, flying BAE Lightnings.

Terry said: “When this came up I wondered who would do it in the family.

“I decided to do it myself and one of my grandsons said he would like to do it.

“He had never flown in an aeroplane.

“The two of us got in the plane together and he went out first.

“It’s been a long time for me to finish off my flight career and I really enjoyed it.

“We did it as a pair and for me it was finishing off something I should have done years ago.”

Mo, a photography student, added: “It was a little bit nerve-wracking to start with, but not too bad after that. It was a new experience for me.

“I’m very pleased with how much we have raised and all the support we’ve had from people donating.”
