TWO women are setting off on a three-legged walk from Poole to Wimborne today.
Jasmine Smith and sister-in-law Gemma Trim, both 28, will leave Poole Quay at 10am on their TroopAid fundraiser.
It’s also a way of saying thank you to Dorset’s TroopAid representative John Howarth, whose son Trooper Andrew Howarth was killed in Afghanistan in 2010, for supporting Jasmine when her mum died recently.
Jasmine and Gemma hope to arrive at Wimborne Royal British Legion by 3pm.
They will be collecting donations on the way, and giving out glow sticks to anyone who donates £1 or more.
As a town, Wimborne has already raised £25,000 for TroopAid.
