Dorset Police are holding a free rural crime prevention event later this month, as part of Operation Countryside.
The event will be held on April 27 at Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester, and aims to show the rural community methods they can use to prevent crime and fire.
Guest speakers will include Richard Drax, MP for Dorset South, High Sheriff of Dorset Jeremy Pope and representatives from Dorset Police.
Mr Craig Barker from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service will talk about how to prevent rural arson, while speakers from insurance company NFU Mutual will provide statistics on the cost of rural crime.
PC Chrissie Plumley, from the Dorset Police Olympic Planning Team, will also be in attendance to discuss what the Olympics will mean for Dorset.
The event will take place between 9am and 4pm.
