WET and windy weather is causing delays this morning, with trees down and ferry crossings also cancelled.
The road at Stapehill Road in Hampreston is closed due to a fallen tree with delays across Dorset’s busiest roads caused by the heavy rain and difficult driving conditions.
A tree was also reported down in Keepers Lane, Wimborne just after 6am, bringing down some nearby telephone wires.
The B3390 at Affpuddle is also believed to be partially blocked due to a fallen tree, while motorists on Higher Shaftesbury Road at Blandford Forum are being warned to take care due to a broken down vehicle.
Condor Ferries have cancelled all their fast ferry sailings today and are reviewing services for tomorrow.
Passengers should call 01305 761551 to arrange alternative sailings.
Services have also been suspended on Wightlink between Lymington and Yarmouth due to the adverse weather conditions.
