BOURNEMOUTH beach will host its first wedding on Friday with the seafront ceremony broadcast live to millions of viewers.

An exclusive Bournemouth beach hut wedding, with all the trimmings, was the prize in a competition run by ITV’s Daybreak show.

Hundreds of couples entered the contest. The lucky winners from Preston, Lancashire, were selected by the public and announced live on Daybreak last Friday.

The winning couple will stay at Bournemouth’s Highcliff Marriott Hotel with their family before their big day.

Their wedding package includes a bridal gown, bouquet, wedding beach hut, hand-crafted cake, Champagne and canapés a marquee on the beach plus a gourmet reception at the Highcliff, along with overnight accommodation for up to 30 guests.

Daybreak presenters Michael Underwood and wife Angellica Bell will relay the proceedings live to viewers, starting just before 7am, with the ceremony due to take place at 8.05 am.
