A THIEF who craves chewing gum is being sought after £60 worth disappeared from a shop in the Winton area of Bournemouth.
The suspect entered Wilkinson’s at around 10.20am on Friday, April 13. After putting his unusual haul in a shopping basket, he made his getaway on a push bike.
Ten days later the same man was spotted by an eagle-eyed security guard as he attempted to shoplift a second time.
PC Lee Harrison said: “This man enters and leaves the store very quickly and only targets chewing gum, using a store shopping basket to carry it away.
“I would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the theft or seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.”
The thief is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
