This summer Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises will contain the most IMAX footage ever for a Hollywood feature, with over one hour’s worth.
The film, which is released July 20, was shot using an IMAX camera and an article on The Wall Street Journal just recently highlighted how studios are clamouring to get their films showed in IMAX theatres.
The Dark Knight Rises is the third instalment in Nolan’s Batman series and has already become one of the most anticipated films of the year after the trailer clocked up a record 12.5million downloads on iTunes in 24 hours when it was unleashed last year.
While Ridley Scott’s upcoming space odyssey Prometheus will be released in IMAX 3D when it lands on June 8. You can see the trailers here
