ELLIOT Turner boasted he could go to prison for 10 years and “still be a millionaire” in a rant about killing Emily Longley, a court heard.
Former Uplands pupil Turner, 20, made the claims after leaving exclusive Cafe Shore in Sandbanks, Poole, following a row with the aspiring model, it was alleged.
Turner, who is on trial for her murder at Winchester Crown Court, had said she dressed like a “whore” and she threw a drink at him, the jury was told.
Friend Luke Ashford, 18, told the jury that after the argument Turner was punching the seats of a booth in the bar and going “pretty crazy”.
He said: “Elliot was shouting ‘I will kill her. I will go to prison and I will still be a millionaire’.”
Luke added: “Elliot said ‘I will do 10 years. It doesn’t bother me’.”
The jury were also read text messages sent by Turner to Mr Ashford six days before her death.
In them, Turner called his male friends ‘The Firm’ and asked Mr Ashford to show his loyalty by tracking down love rival Louie Pow.
Witnesses said that one night, when Emily was in the nightclub Klute with Mr Pow, Elliot took a mallet with him tucked into a sock or a waistband, the court heard.
During cross-examination, Anthony Donne QC put it to Luke that these were not just “mad rantings”.
Mr Donne said: “You suggest these are the rantings and ravings of an obsessive man who had no reason to be jealous but during this time you were having sex with his girlfriend.”
Mr Ashford admitted spending the night with Emily.
Turner, of Queenswood Avenue, Bournemouth, denies murder and perverting the course of justice. His parents Leigh and Anita deny perverting the course of justice.
The case continues.
