THE schoolboy injured by a car as he crossed a Bournemouth road to catch a bus suffered a broken ankle.
The 13-year-old was hurt on Kinson Road at around 8.20am on Wednesday near the junction with Cherford Road.
The car was being driven by a Poole woman and a police spokesman told the Daily Echo yesterday there had been no arrests and further action was planned.
Residents had claimed the busy road was dangerous and that the nearby pedestrian crossing next to a roundabout at Columbia Road was “lethal”.
John Satchwell, road safety manager at Bournemouth Council, said yesterday: “Between January 2006 and December 2011 there were no recorded accidents involving injury to pedestrians between Columbia Road and Kingswell Road.”
