YOUNG Bournemouth contemporary prog rockers Evolver has released their new EP, which is now available on iTunes. Sci-Fi Queen has been picking up glowing reviews for the band that made it to the finals of last year’s Dorset Music Awards at the O2 Academy Bournemouth.
Having been together for three years, it was only last year that the four-piece had the opportunity to perform in various venues in Bournemouth and Poole such as Mr. Kyps and the 02 Academy. The band consists of dedicated musicians, featuring vocalist Jordan Lees, guitarist Ed Graves, bassist Rollo Wood and Rick Holland on drums.
For a band of such tender years, Evolver has taken the unique step of drawing inspiration from the 70s rock sound of Queen, and Pink Floyd while also referencing contemporary bands such as Muse and Queens of the Stone Age.
The track Circus Freak from their latest EP is currently being used in the promo video for the Bournemouth Tattoo Convention that takes place on May 26.
