THE deadline is looming for would-be entrepreneurs to apply for support through Bournemouth council’s ‘Talent’ programme.
As part of a project to regenerate Boscombe, the council has £2,000 grants to give to creative entrepreneurs opening a shop in Pokesdown.
This is the second opportunity for local businesses following a successful first round before Christmas. Up to four selected new businesses will be offered a business support grant to help find accommodation in commercial premises in Pokesdown that are currently empty.
The project is looking for vibrant, exciting business proposals that will complement and add to the unique character of Pokesdown.
Local organisation WSX Enterprise, who support small and medium-sized enterprises, has become a partner of the programme and will sit on the selection panel and also provide free training to successful applicants.
Applications should be made online at <&bh"http://www.bournemouth.gov.uk/talent">bournemouth.gov.uk/talent<&eh>. The deadline is Monday.
