SCHOOLCHILDREN who do not get free school transport may still qualify for price reductions.
Dorset County Council is inviting parents and guardians to apply for a concessionary scheme covering students up to age 18 on contracted school routes only. This scheme does not apply to public bus services.
Those who have applied last year are reminded that they must do so again to qualify for the concessionary seats, costing £420 for the next academic year.
Applications are prioritised with factors considered including disabilities, special needs and medical conditions.
Application forms are available at www.dorsetforyou.com/schooltransport or by calling 01305 221069 from tomorrow.
Parents whose children receive free transport are also being asked to submit their forms as soon as possible.
