PARENTS whose children do not qualify for free school transport are able to apply for a concessionary scheme with Dorset County Council.
The scheme is to help pupils who are not entitled to free school transport, get to school using the school buses.
This includes 16-18-year-olds and those travelling to faith schools and applies to county council contracted routes but does not cover public service routes.
Any parent or guardian who wants to apply for a concessionary seat will need to complete an application form, even if they completed one last year. The cost for a concessionary seat for the next academic year will be £420.
Applications can be completed from today and must arrive by May 25.
