AN elderly man who was in collision with a car in Bournemouth last week, remains in a serious condition in Southampton General Hospital.

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following the incident in Wellington Road, Charminster last Monday.

The collision with the blue BMW left the 73-year-old Bournemouth man with life-threatening head and leg injuries.

The pensioner was on the pedestrian crossing when the collision took place.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old local man, was shaken but uninjured.
