A LIGHTING expert from Bournemouth who has helped create the Olympic Park for London 2012 has been named as Lighting Designer of the Year.
Winton’s Michael Grubb, 35, director at Sutton Vane Associates, picked up the Lighting Design Award at London’s Hilton Hotel after impressing judges with his ‘fantastic body of work’.
Mr Grubb, who was named the 2012 Olympics Learning Legacy Ambassador earlier this year, developed the lighting strategy for the Olympic park and public realm aspects of the 2012 Olympics.
Other high-profile projects include Cathedral Square in Peterborough, and the A11 Underpass in London.
The practice won the Exterior Projects award and was highly commended in the Low Carbon category.
