FREE celebration events will be held in Poole to commemorate the arrival of the Olympic torch relay on Friday, July 13.
The events at Turlin Moor and Branksome will give visitors the opportunity to take part in a wide range of free sports and arts activities run by local clubs and organisations.
They will coincide with the passing of the Olympic Torch and offer a once in a lifetime opportunity for residents to see the Olympic Flame as it passes through their neighbourhood.
The event at Turlin Moor recreation ground will take place from 3pm until 5pm and the Branksome event will run from 4pm until 6pm at the recreation ground.
Visitors are advised that parking is not available at either site and should therefore use public transport or make their way on foot to the event sites. Everyone Active: Poole will also be running an afternoon of activities in the newly opened Seldown Park including an outdoor Zumba class. Activities and street entertainment will also be taking place on Poole Quay.
