WONDER Woman, She-Ra and Batman will be on the loose in Bournemouth Square on Saturday searching out fellow superheroes.
They will be calling on like-minded people to join them on the Julia’s House Superheroes Night Walk on May 25.
This is the children’s hospice’s second nightwalk and promises to be one of the biggest charity events of the year.
Starting from Bournemouth Pier Approach at 10pm, there will be an option of a three or five mile walk.
Participants can dress as a superhero or simply be a hero for taking part and raising money to help the real superheroes, the children and families the charity supports.
It is only £10 to enter the night walk and the fee includes illuminated balloons, a medal, refreshment en route, a goody bag and delicious cupcake at the end.
There is no minimum sponsorship to raise but certificates will be awarded to those who collect a minimum of £100 and there will also be a prize for the best dressed superhero on the night.
Every penny raised will benefit the children of Julia’s House and their families.
“This was such a fun event last year and we hope lots of local heroes will sign up.
“The start time of 10pm means that most people, even those that walk five miles, will be tucked up in bed not long after midnight,” said Linda Schofield-Green, corporate and events manager.
To sign up and receive a fundraising pack, call Nikki on 01202 607400, email nightwalk@juliashouse.org or go to julias house.org.
The closing date for entries to the night walk is May 23.
