EIGHT Purbeck District Council seats are up for grabs in today's local elections.
Voters across Purbeck are going to the polls in the wards of Lytchett Matravers, Lytchett Minster and Upton East, Lytchett Minster and Upton West, St Martin, Swanage North, Swanage South, Wareham and Wool. One council seat in each ward is being contested.
The polls will close at 10pm and results are expected at around 2 or 3am tomorrow.
The Daily Echo's website will be updated first thing tomorrow morning and Saturday's Echo will carry a full round-up of results.
Purbeck District Council is currently made up of 12 Conservatives, 10 Liberal Democrats and two Independents.
