AN inquest into the death of a teenager killed on one of Poole’s busiest roads has been opened and adjourned.
Michael Walker, 17, from Poole died on the southbound carriageway of Holes Bay Road at 1.30pm on Friday.
Michael, who was cycling along the road around 1.30pm on Friday, was in collision with a Ford Fiesta driven by a 70-year-old man from Wareham.
He died at the scene.
The teenager was a keen sailor and a member of Poole Yacht Club, based in Hamworthy.
Club members have described him as a “loveable, cheeky, mischievous young man, who will be sadly missed by everyone, both old and young.”
Michael was also a member of the Sea Scouts and enjoyed rowing and camping.
