STUDENTS placed around 500 flags down a Bournemouth Seafront Zig Zag to answer the question – What Inspires You?
The team of seven from the Arts University College at Bournemouth had spent months getting people around town to create the flags for a third year project.
The flags, each the size of a piece of A4 paper, were installed for one day only between 11am and 6pm on Monday down the West Cliff Zig Zag.
They were created by artists, primary schools, community groups and a number of others.
Bethan Ellis, 23, an Arts and Event Management student, said: “We had a lovely reaction, people loved the concept.
“It was raining in the morning but it turned sunny for us in the afternoon.
“I think our favourite would have to be done by a six-year-old boy with a drawing of a Praying Mantis.
“He wrote ‘Life is an Adjective’ but meant ‘Life is an Adventure’.”
