STAFF at a new Bournemouth gym are taking a hands-on approach to a new cancer awareness campaign.
Pure Gym in the Triangle is supporting Cancer Research UK through a series of fund-raising events including a sponsored bike ride by gym manager Ben Homer.
Senior nurse for CRUK Jac Samuel visited the gym to demonstrate on prosthetics how to check testicles and breasts for lumps.
Ros Fry of Cancer Research UK for Dorset, said they were delighted that the gym had chosen to support the charity.
“It makes sense because there is an important connection between keeping healthy and preventing cancer,” she said.
