A free show for 10,000 people will be held at Bournemouth Pier to welcome the Olympic Torch.
The highlight of the two-and-a-half-hour party on Friday, July 13, will be the arrival of the iconic flame, which has been lit today in Greece. See the full relay route through Dorset here
Torch relay sponsors Coca Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung will lay on acts and there will be performances from Bournemouth's biggest music and dance organisations.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Pavilion Dance and Avant Garde have signed up to take part in the 'Bournemouth Sings' and 'Bournemouth Dances' sections.
The show will be shown live in a one hour special by the BBC on the night.
Tickets will be available from the BIC box office from June 15.
Up to eight will be available per household.
