MOTORCYLISTS still have time to book a place on the last BikeSafe course before the Olympics.
The two-part course features a theory presentation to highlight the causes of accidents and the theory of advanced riding, on Saturday June 23, and the next day, Sunday June 24, is the second part, which concludes with an assessed ride.
It is aimed at anyone who rides a motorbike with an engine size of at least 250cc, and as the course is subsidised by Dorset County Council, the fee is £20 per person.
Police Constable Chris Smith, BikeSafe Co-ordinator, said: “Even experienced bikers could learn something on the BikeSafe course that may one day save their life.
“It is a great opportunity to gain advice and tips on areas including cornering, overtaking, positioning and hazard perception. The Dorset Police riders that run this course are genuinely passionate about motorcycling.”
It takes place at Salt House at West Bay, Bridport.
