A WOMAN had her drink “spiked” at a Bournemouth pub, a meeting heard.
The incident was discussed at the spring meeting of Pokesdown Community Forum held at the Salvation Army Hall in Norwood Place.
Chairman Roxanne Kapperud said the incident had happened in “a local pub.”
Pam Ruthvan, from the forum committee, said in the newsletter that was handed out at the meeting: “The woman and her friend visited the ladies’ room leaving their drinks with two gentleman at the same table.
“The next thing she remembered was waking up in an alleyway in Boscombe with no idea of how she got there.
“She was on her way to hospital when I met her and now has a worrying wait for the result.”
The area’s beat PCSO Chris Wilson told the meeting such incidents had been recorded in the town centre were “very rare” in the area.
He said people could buy ‘Spikees’ to protect bottled drinks and he advised people to generally keep drinks away from people you don’t trust.
